Ambala, January 13
The police today claimed to have solved at least six cases of theft with the arrest of seven persons, including a juvenile. Stolen articles, including 2 two-wheelers and an e-rickshaw, were recovered from them, officials said.
According to the police, Vishal of Ambala City was arrested with a motorcycle of Pankaj from Panjokhra Sahib. The two-wheeler was stolen on January 10. He was sent to 14-day judicial remand by a court.
In a separate case, Deepak Kumar, alias Chhinda, of Naraingarh near here was arrested with a LED TV stolen from a house in Naraingarh between January 2 and 4. He was remanded to two-day police custody by a court.
In yet another case, Deepak, alias Deepu, and Gaurav, alias Golu, of Ambala Cantonment were arrested with an e-rickshaw of Jaswinder Singh from Mahesh Nagar near here. The e-rickshaw was stolen on the intervening night of November 5 and 6 last. They were sent to 14-day judicial remand by a court.
In a separate case, a juvenile was arrested with an Activa scooter of Rajesh from Mahesh Nagar. It was stolen on November 25 last. He was sent to the juvenile observation home by a court.
Besides, Rahul of Yamunanagar was arrested for stealing a battery of Ramesh Chand’s tipper in Mullana near here on January 8. He will be produced before a court tomorrow.
In another case, Suresh Kumar, alias Kala, of Panchkula was arrested for stealing 12 sheesham trees from the forest area in Panjokhra Sahib near here on the intervening night of January 9 and 10. He was remanded to three-day police custody by a court, the officials said.
