Amanjot’s sister Kamaljot Kaur said, “We had a very brief chat with her last night as she was busy with celebrations. She was very happy and emotional. The family shared happiness for a short while as everybody was so emotional. Years of hard work has finally paid off.”

The family said they were eagerly awaiting Amanjot’s arrival in a week. Her mother, Ranjeet Kaur, said Amanjot has been an all-rounder not just in cricket but in every sphere of life. “Cooking, household work, studies, going out, she loves to do everything and takes keen interest. She doesn’t eat sweets but I’ll make her favorite rajmah-chawal,” she further added.
