Software engineer found dead in Zirakpur hotel
A software engineer was found dead in a hotel on the Chandigarh-Ambala national highway here.
Gorav Kumar, a resident of Swastik Vihar, Green View society, was found dead in the Galaxy hotel on Tuesday afternoon. His wife, Nidhi told the police that he was employed at a private firm in Chandigarh and had not come home since Monday evening. She had informed her in-laws about her husband not returning home.
The couple got married in 2022. They were living in a rented accommodation in Zirakpur.
The police said the family got to know from the hotel that Gorav had reportedly consumed a poisonous substance. Nidhi reportedly told the police that her husband was mentally stressed and under medication for the past sometime.
The police are investigating the matter.
