The rescue operation was led by the Sector 21 police post in-charge, Didar Singh, along with Head Constables Lakhwinder Singh and Jitender Singh. The NDRF team, an ambulance, and a JCB machine were also pressed into service.

Eventually, the child’s body was recovered from the water, but he could not be revived. She warned that river currents can fluctuate suddenly, creating dangerous conditions. Parents were urged to strictly prevent their children from venturing near rivers, streams, or other hazardous spots.
