Sood announces names of new city BJP office-bearers

Chandigarh, March 12

New president of the city BJP Arun Sood has announced the state office-bearers and state morcha presidents.

“I hope the newly elected office-bearers and morcha presidents will strengthen the party and contribute towards its promotion and propagation,” said the city BJP chief.

Sood added that soon, he would announce the state executive committee and state cells and would recommend the names of local leaders of the BJP for the national executive committee, national morcha and cells at the central level.

Youth leader Gaurav Goel, who has been appointed as the state spokesperson in the new BJP executive team, thanked all workers, top leadership, the Prime Minister, the BJP national president and Sood for this new responsibility.

He was earlier the state president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM). Goel, who has been associated with the party and its ideology for the last nearly three decades, comes from a humble family.

The new city BJP vice-presidents are Asha Jaswal, Prem Kaushik, Surinder Bagah, Ram Lal Bairwa, Neena Tiwari and Sunita Bhatt. Other office-bearers are general secretaries Dinesh Kumar (Organisation), Chander Shekhar and Rambir Bhatti; secretaries Amit Rana, Hukum Chand, Anoop Gupta, Jaswinder Kaur, Anu Makkar and Tejinder Singh; cashiers Raj Kishore and Amit Jindal; and office secretaries Gajinder Sharma, Devi Singh and Deepak Malhotra.

While BC Puri has been appointed morcha co-ordinator, Harish Garg is cell co-ordinator.

Dhirender Tayal, Kailash Jain, Gurpreet Singh Dhillon, Gaurav Goyal, Naresh Arora and Shipra Bansal are spokespersons.

Besides, Sunita Dhawan is president of Mahila Morcha, Vijay Rana will head BJYM, Krishan Kumar is chief of SC Morcha, NR Mehra will be at the helm of OBC Morcha and Deedar Singh (Hallomajra) will head Kisan Morcha of the party.
