The Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with social organisations, organised a special cleanliness drive at Japanese Garden, Sector 31, today under ‘Safai Apnao Bimaari Bhagao’ campaign.

Area councillor Anju Katyal, along with volunteers from Onkar Charitable Foundation, Don Bosco Navjeevan Society and local residents, participated in the drive. Together, they collected litter and cleaned the park, setting an inspiring example of community-driven environmental responsibility.

Besides cleaning activity, a plantation drive was conducted at Nehru Park to promote environmental sustainability. Anju Katyal administered a cleanliness pledge to all present and urged citizens to take collective responsibility in keeping their surroundings clean.

MC Commissioner Amit Kumar emphasised the importance of public participation in the Municipal Corporation’s cleanliness mission, urging citizens not to litter in open spaces and to dispose of waste in designated municipal vehicles.
