BioNEST-Panjab University, Chandigarh has received a special funding – the SEED Fund (Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development Fund) of Rs 1 crore from Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), said Dr Rohit Sharma, project leader of BioNEST. The SEED Fund by BIRAC was launched with an agenda to provide grant-in-aid assistance to BIRAC-funded incubators. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
