Specially-abled players Ajeya Raj and Anjali Thakur bagged a rich haul of medals during the 8th Boccia National Championship. Raj, a C4 Quadriplegic, clinched a silver medal in the individual category and a gold medal in the pairs. Similarly, Anjali, overcoming the hurdles posed by her disability as a C5-C6 individual, displayed unwavering dedication and passion for Boccia, securing gold medals in both the individual and pairs categories.
Rajeev Verma, Adviser to the Administrator, Chandigarh, interacted with the triumphant players of Chandigarh Spinal Rehab. The Sports Department is underway in developing a Boccia Court at the Sports Complex, Sector 8, fulfilling the request of the Chandigarh Spinal Rehab players. —
