Dr Mahender Singh, Joint Director, Sports, UT Administration, claimed first position in the men’s above 50 years (solo) event, during the recently concluded All-India Civil Services Yogasana Championship organised by the Chandigarh Sports Department. Singh scored the top position with a total of 77.50 points, followed by Ram Pratap Rajwade (72 points) from Chhattisgarh and Maheshkumar Ganpatbhai Solanki (71.50).

In the artistic solo event, Rajwade (52.25 claimed top positions, while in the artistic pair event, the team of Hanmanth Poojari and Hanmanth Kumbar (110.875), Shiv Narayan and Dr Balraj (110.25) and Dr Mahender and Dr Ajit Singh (82.5) won the rhythmic pair event.In the women’s U-40 traditional solo, Sunita (76.0), Manisha Paul (73.5) and Nisha Gopalbhai Bhagiya (68.0) won medals, while in the artistic solo, Tanu (78.63), Selvarasi (75.13) and Manisha Paul (71.63) excelled.
