Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22, and St Stephen’s School, Sector 45, won the inter-school football tournament in the girls’ and boys’ category, respectively. In the girls’ U-14 final, the Sector 22 team recorded a 3-0 win over Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 21.

Rima netted the first goal in the opening minute of the match, followed by another in the fifth minute to double the lead. In the 13th minute, Ishita scored the third and final goal as the side lifted the title for the fifth consecutive year.

St Stephen’s School won the boys’ final by logging a 4-3 win over Vivek High School, Sector 38. St. Stephen’s boys started with high intensity attacking football and scored the first goal in 21 seconds only. Mamesh took a long range shot with his left foot from the edge of the box into the top corner. Ramunag doubled the lead in the seventh minute and Vihan Thakur increased the tally by scoring in the 9th and 13th minutes. The same team will represent the city in the Subroto Cup International Football Tournament.
