The event was graced by Justice Jitendra Chauhan, Justice Nirmaljeet Kaur, Punjab and Haryana High Court, and Justice Lisa Gill also from the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

Justice Chauhan highlighted the significance of induction training and shared his views with the participants on the role to be discharged by them after having successfully completed their training. “The office comes with great responsibility and the power which the institution has vested with the judges is to be used for the solitary purpose of delivering justice,” he said.

He said a judge should probe deeper to reach the substance of the matter. He advised the officers to never let down the system that had reposed faith in them.

He sensitised the trainee judicial officers regarding the trials and tribulations suffered by a common litigant seeking justice from the court.
