Councillor Shakti Prakash Devshali met Dr Amandeep Kang, Director Health Services, Chandigarh, and urged her to start dental OPD at the Health and Wellness Centre in the Industrial Area, Phase 1, here.

Devshali said Colony No. 4 and Sanjay Colony were located in the Industrial Area, Phase 1. Apart from this, a large number of industrial units were established here in which thousands of labourers work. All these people were dependent on the Health and Wellness Centre for their treatment.

Due to the non-availability of dentistry at the centre, these people have to go far or get expensive treatment from private doctors. Devshali requested Dr Kang to start the facility of dental treatment at this centre soon.

Devshali said Dr Kang assured him that she would soon take steps in this direction by giving instructions to the authorities concerned and would provide the facility of dental treatment. — TNS
