State-level workshop on AISHE 2024–25 concludes in Panchkula

A state-level workshop on the All India Survey on Higher Education (AISHE) 2024–25 concluded successfully in Panchkula on Monday, reaffirming Haryana’s commitment to maintain its leadership in higher education data management and policy alignment. The workshop, organised by the Haryana Statistical Cell under the Department of Higher Education, Government of Haryana, was held at the PWD Rest House Auditorium, Sector 1.

SN Narayanan, IFS, Director General of Higher Education, Haryana, who was chief guest at the event, lauded the state’s consistent record of excellence in AISHE participation and timely data submission. He attributed this success to the dedication of institutional heads and coordinated departmental efforts.

“Staying at the top requires continuous improvement — in quality, speed, and coordination — as we align ourselves with national priorities and evolving education frameworks,” Narayanan emphasised.

Anita Sirohiwal, Director, Ministry of Education, outlined the workshop’s key objectives — achieving 100 per cent institutional participation, ensuring timely and error-free data submission and aligning AISHE reporting with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and national ranking frameworks.

She underlined the importance of AISHE, launched in 2010–11, as a cornerstone for evidence-based policy formulation in higher education.

The survey for 2024–25 commenced on July 15, with data submission due by October 15. Technical Expert Shivam Pandey led detailed sessions on the data submission process, while State Nodal Officer Dr Veena elaborated on the survey’s structure and its policy relevance.

Over 250 representatives from universities and colleges across Haryana attended the workshop, engaging in capacity-building sessions aimed at strengthening data quality and institutional readiness.
