Statue of ‘Lady Justice’ unveiled

A statue of ‘Lady Justice’ was unveiled at University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Panjab University, today.

Justice AG Masih, Judge, Supreme Court; Justice Sheel Nagu, Chief Justice, Punjab and Haryana High Court; and Prof Renu Vig, Vice Chancellor, Panjab University, were chief guests on the occasion. Justice Lisa Gill, Justice HS Sethi and GS Gill also attended the event

Justice AG Masih, in his address, spoke about the significance of installing ‘Lady Justice’ as a pivotal moment, symbolising justice that goes beyond technicalities and serves justice in an impartial manner. Justice Sheel Nagu stressed the symbolic value of installing ‘Lady Justice’ at UILS and focused on its values in terms of fairness, equality and truth, specifically its role in nation building.
