The spokesperson of the Homoeopathic Medical College Teachers’ Association clarified that despite protesting teachers have returned to classroom, it doesn’t mean that the protest has ended. A statement issued in this regard read, “It’s important to clarify that we have not called off the pen-down strike. The strike was initiated in response to serious concerns regarding a fraudulent seniority list submitted to Panjab University by the college. The faculty’s decision to return to classrooms while maintaining their protest was in good faith in response to constructive dialogue with administration. However, this should not be mischaracterised as an end to the protest. We continue to await resolution of our legitimate concerns regarding the seniority list.”
