High-velocity dusty winds accompanied by rain disrupted power supply in many parts of the city yesterday.

According to the Meteorological Department here, the city received 8.3 mm rainfall. The sky became clear after the early morning rain.

Sources in the Municipal Corporation said the Horticulture Department received complaints about trees getting uprooted from Sector 24, 16, 19, 2, 11 and 4.

The storm disrupted power supply in Sector 30, 31, 42, 43, 45, 46, 47, and Mani Majra. Sunil, a resident of Dhanas, said there was no power for more than one hour after the storm.
