Strawberry Fields junior sports meet begins
The first day belonged to the spirited students of Classes III and IV, who set an inspiring tone for the days ahead with their energy, confidence and beautifully synchronised performances
The junior school’s three-day athletics meet opened today on the Strawberry Fields High School’s expansive, lush green lawns, which came alive with colour, music and the boundless enthusiasm of young athletes.
The first day belonged to the spirited students of Classes III and IV, who set an inspiring tone for the days ahead with their energy, confidence and beautifully synchronised performances.
The inaugural drill, performed to rhythmic, uplifting music, showcased impressive coordination. The synchronisation between movement and melody highlighted not only the children’s hard work but also the collective effort of teachers and instructors who guided them. As the students marched, danced and ran across the verdant field, their camaraderie and sportsmanship were evident in every smile, every cheer and every encouraging pat on the back.
Parents filled the stands, their applause echoing across the grounds. Their presence added warmth to the ambience, turning the event into a true community celebration.
From athletic races to team activities, the young participants took part with enthusiasm, demonstrating determination, joy and wholehearted participation in every event.
Tomorrow, the spotlight will shift to the students of Classes I and II, whose performances and events promise to bring equal delight and excitement. The final day will feature the kindergartners, whose participation always adds a special charm to the meet.
As the opening day concludes, the atmosphere remains charged with anticipation. “With music, teamwork and an environment that celebrates effort as much as achievement, the junior school sports meet continues its journey, reminding us that every child who steps onto the field, steps into a moment of growth, joy and triumph,” said Director, Atul Khanna.
At the end of the programme, the school brass band, performed by students from Classes IV to VII, was absolutely outstanding and won many hearts. They played Chariots of Fire and concluded with the National Anthem, marking a dignified and memorable finale to the day.
