I want to draw the attention of the authorities to the increasing menace of stray dogs and cattle in Panchkula. The Panchkula MC is going strict with pet dog owners, but is barely doing anything to check the stary dog menace. They are charging registration fee from dog owners but have they utilised these funds on development of any dog parks or checking the menace of stray dogs? It is the responsibility of the MC to use tax payers’ money judicially. Also, road across the city are in a bad state. The officials concerned should pay heed to this. — VK Jain, Panchkula

Install timers at traffic lights

There is a need for installing timers at traffic lights to make commuting easier. It will also help check violation of the road safety rules. When a vehicle is speeding and green signal suddenly turns red, it leads to accidents and confusion. — Abhilasha Gupta, Mohali
