The Municipal Corporation today removed vendors selling fish in the open area near Mohali MLA's office in Sector 79 along with the removal of a couple of food vendors in Phase-1, Sector 67, Mataur, and Industrial Area, Phase-8 today.

Locals said the MC teams removed food carts, outlets, including those selling momos and spring rolls.

On March 16, a video, shot by local residents, purportedly showing food being prepared in unhygienic conditions, dirty utensils in a house in Mataur had gone viral on social media, prompting outrage. —TNS
