Smart Parking RFP Committee chairman Saurabh Joshi has formed five specialised sub-committees to fast-track the development of a citywide Smart Parking Solution under the PPP model.
The project aims to introduce intelligent, technology-driven parking system that eases congestion, reduces commuter stress, and improves utilisation of public space.
Joshi said, “This isn’t just a parking plan. We are designing a system that speaks to the future of urban living — smart, seamless, and citizen-friendly.”
Joshi said the committee would visit and study the Smart Parking operations at the Chandigarh airport, Elante Mall and other key locations on Monday to gather on-ground insights.
All sub-committees have been directed to submit their findings and draft contributions by May 23, ensuring that the final RFP is ready for rollout without delay.
