Surinder, Usha shine in inter-media TT tourney

Surinder Singh Rawal and Usha Singh won the men’s and women’s singles title, respectively, on the concluding day of the Inter-Media Table Tennis Championship. Rajesh Moudgil and Naveen Tyagi won the bronze medal each, whereas Richa Segha claimed silver in the women’s category.

In the men’s veteran’s singles title clash, Sanjay Bumbroo ousted Raj Rishi. Barinder Saluja and Usha Singh won the mixed doubles title by defeating Naveen Tyagi and Richa Sehgal.

In the men’s doubles final, team of Surinder Singh Rawal and Saurabh Duggal edged out Sukhwinder Pal Sodhi and Arvind Saini. Atul Nanda, Punjab Advocate General and president of the Punjab Table Tennis Association, awarded the winners. — TNS
