During the meeting, Tandon raised concerns regarding the current points system of the BCCI’s Ranji matches. He pointed out that Chandigarh team despite winning four of their seven games were eliminated before the knockout stage, while Saurashtra and Tamil Nadu which won fewer games in the same pool were advanced to the next round.

Additionally, Tandon advocated for the establishment of a national cricket academy in the northern region, which would significantly benefit aspiring cricketers from the area. He also reiterated his demand for full affiliation of the UTCA, following the completion of its five years, even as the association struggles to have its own ground, which they claimed to have while getting affiliation, like other cricket associations of different states.
