A techinal team is probing the three-story building collapse in Sohana village in Mohali on the evening of December 21, which claimed the lives of two people. A gym facility was being run in the basement and the ground floor of the building. The two upper floors housed PG facility.
The police arrested building owners, Parvinder Singh and Gagandeep Singh of Chaumajra village, on the charge of culpable homicide.
A magisterial probe was ordered in the accident, the report for which was to be submitted in three weeks. “A technical committee is probing the incident in detail. The report is likely to be submitted soon,” officials privy to the developments said.
