Tech, biological experiments may result in global calamity: Lt General KJ Singh

Lt General KJ Singh, who was a chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the 5th edition of CGC International Model United Nations (MUN), said, “We must not completely rely on machines as they lack wisdom. Technological and biological experimentations sometimes result in global calamity like coronavirus.”
He was accompanied by over 270 delegates from different countries, who took part in panel discussions.
Guest of honour Sebastiaan Boussauw from the CGC’s International partner college Hogeschool UCLL, Belgium, said, “Seventeen sustainable development goals set up by the United Nations to address global challenges, including poverty, inequality, climate change, peace and justice should be a a priority of every nation.”
Satnam Singh Sandhu, chairman, Chandigarh Group of Colleges and president Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal encouraged the students to take part in social welfare activities.
