Temple priests extend support to Balbir Sidhu

With three days left for polling, former minister and Congress candidate from Mohali Balbir Singh Sidhu received a shot in the arm as members of the Central Temple Priests Council Welfare Association today announced their support to him.

During a meeting of temple priests from across the district today, president of the association Jagdish Raturi and patron Sunderlal Bijalwan said Balbir Sidhu always stood with people in their joys and sorrows. They said he was always available to solve the problems of people from all religions and communities. They urged Sidhu to construct a building for the association in Mohali where it could conduct its events.

Balbir Sidhu said he always worked for the betterment of every section of the society, without any discrimination. He announced that with the formation of the Congress government in Punjab again, a building for the priests would be constructed in Mohali as per their requirements.

Deputy Mayor Kuljit Singh Bedi, association chairman Lucky Sharma, chief adviser Shivanand Joshi, general secretary Yogeshwar Prasad, treasurer Sarveshwar Gaur and chief custodian Virender were among those present at the meeting. —
