Tennis: Shatakshika Sahayak, Milli Pandit reach singles’ main draw

Shatakshika Sahayak and Milli Pandit qualified for the main draw in the women’s singles of the CLTA-AITA National Ranking Tennis Championship for Men & Women at the CLTA courts in Sector 10 here.
Shatakshika defeated Harnoor Kaur Sidhu in straight sets. Shatakshika played good quality tennis and won the first set 6-3. She maintained her momentum and closed the second set and match 6-0. In the other match, Milli outplayed Incharaishva Hiremath of Karnataka 6-2, 6-0.
Among other players who moved into main draw are Simran Bundela of Goa, Seshadri Chhavi of Haryana and Shreya Pasricha of UP.
The main draw matches of men’s and women’s singles events will start from Monday.
