Chandigarh: Unknown persons allegedly decamped with valuables and cash from a house in Sector 51. The complainant told the police that the theft took place between June 11 and 14, when the entire family had gone to the native village in Barnala district. On returning home, they found the lock of the main door broken and gold jewellery stolen, along with Rs10,000 cash and three mobile phones. A case was registered at the Sector 49 police station. — TNS
