Chandigarh: The UT police have arrested a man while riding a stolen motorcycle. The police said the suspect, Manjinder Singh, a Gurdaspur resident, was arrested from outside the Inter-State Bus Terminus in Sector 43. A case, meanwhile, has been registered at the Sector 36 police station.

Taptesh bags 100m gold medal

Chandigarh: Taptesh claimed 100m gold medal during the Annual Sports Meet of DAV College, Sector 10. Mehak Thakur claimed second position, and Gheester bagged the third position. In the 200m race, Simrativir and Mehak claimed the gold medals, while Mehak won the 400m race, followed by Bhawna Kumari at second position. In the 800m event, Gaurav claimed the top position, and in the long jump event, Gheester Yumnam and Madhu won the gold medals. Dinesh won the shot-put event, along with Vanshika Jha and in the three-legged race, Dewansh, Shruti and Rishita claimed the top position. In sack race, Divash Dubey and Gudiya bagged wins.

Bodybuilding meet from tomorrow

Mohali: The 10th Mr Mohali and 7th Mr Kurali Bodybuilding Competition will be organised by the Bodybuilding and Fitness Association of Mohali on February 23. The 4th Mr Classic award will also be at stake during this event along with Mr Mohali Open category. The MC will organise the event and the weighing will be held from 10 am to 11 am, followed by posing.
