Thieves strike at Sector 27 gurdwara
Chandigarh: A donation box was reportedly stolen from a gurdwara in Sector 27 on the intervening night of February 1 and 2. A case has been registered on a complaint of Manjinder Singh, head granthi of the gurdwara. TNS
Illicit liquor seized in Mohali
Mohali: The police seized 586 cartons of illicit liquor from three vehicles in the run-up to the civic body elections. Two cases under the Excise Act have been registered at the Majri Block police station and one at the Kurali police station. The suspects have been identified as Sukhwinder Singh of Ferozepur and Purshottam Lal of Ludhiana. TNS
