Mohali: 3 arrested for blackmarketing of IPL tickets
Three persons have been arrested for illegal sale of IPL match tickets at inflated prices. The suspects have been identified as Jind resident Naveen and New Delhi residents Darpan and Parharsh Anurag.
The arrests were made during the first Qualifier between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Mullanpur stadium.
An FIR has been registered at the Mullanpur police station on May 29. The suspects had a large number of tickets and were selling them at inflated prices near the stadium. On a tip-off, the police apprehended the suspects ‘red handed’ and confiscated 14 tickets from them, said Mullanpur DSP Mohit Agarwal.
