Three booked for raping minor at gunpoint
The police booked three persons for allegedly raping a minor at gunpoint in a Zirakpur hotel.
The incident took place on February 3 when the accused, who has been identified as Parminder, and his two friends took the girl hostage. They had taken her to the hotel on the pretext of meeting an acquaintance.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at the Phase-11 police station.
In another incident, the police have arrested two persons and booked a juvenile for allegedly gangraping a minor.
Two held for rape
The arrested accused have been identified as Vijay and Kranti. The minor, the key accused in the case, meanwhile, is absconding.
The minor girl’s mother had in her police complaint stated that her daughter went missing on the evening of February 2 and later was rescued from the Motor Market, Sector 48, on February 5. She has been admitted to the Phase-6 hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.
A case had at the time been registered at the Sohana police station.
