The police produced both accused before the court yesterday and the judge sent Akeel to one-day police remand. His interrogation led to the recovery of four mobile phones and a scooter that were stolen from the Mauli Jagran police station.

Akeel already faces six cases registered against him in Chandigarh. Another team of Operations Cell nabbed Mohammad Ashif (25), a resident Dhanas, with a scooter that was stolen from the Sector 11 police station area.
