The arrested trio have been identified as Shubam Singh of Haripur Kurha, Dera Bassi, Gurjeet Singh, alias Laadi of Gujju Kherha, Banur, and Jatinder Kumar of Bala Ram Colony, Mubarikpur.
The police said several two-wheeler thefts had recently been reported at the Dera Bassi police station. “A team analysed numerous CCTV footages and identified Shubam as a suspect. Acting on a tip-off, the team arrested two accused Shubam and Laadi from Mubarikpur and recovered three stolen motorcycles,” the police said.
Shubam disclosed involvement of the third accused Jatinder. Based on his information, the team apprehended Jatinder and recovered three more stolen motorcycles from him.
The police said the trio had a criminal history. They were arrested on the basis of an FIR registered under Sections 303(2) and 317(2) of the BNS at Dera Bassi police station on May 29, 2025.
