Mohali, October 20

Three more Covid-19 fatalities were reported in the Mohali district during the last 24 hours taking the toll to 227, even as 27 new cases surfaced on Tuesday.

Out of the 27 new cases, 23 were reported from Mohali urban, three from Dera Bassi and one from Gharuan. The number of people affected by the virus so far in the district has subsequently risen to 11,801, said the authorities concerned.

Meanwhile, 105 more people have been cured of the infection in the last 24 hours taking the number of patients cured and discharged from hospitals so far to 10,955, they said.

As of now, there are 619 active cases in the district.
