Tabresh, a resident of Sector 52, alleged that Manpreet Singh, a native of Ferozepur district, attacked him with a knife on December 26. He suffered injuries and was admitted to the PGI.

Two persons were attacked by armed assailants near a nightclub in Sector 26.

In a complaint lodged with the police, Tarun, a resident of Sector 38, alleged that Sameer, Makhan, Kala and others attacked him and his cousin, Raj, with sharp weapons. Both suffered injuries on the chest and stomach. They were taken to the Government Multi-Speciality Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, where the doctors referred them to the PGI.

The police have registered a case at Sector 26 and started an investigation. —
