Three youths nailed for burglary

Chandigarh, January 17

Three youths have been arrested by the UT police in a case of burglary at a house in Ram Darbar.

Complainant Mohit Kumar had reported that on returning home on January 14, he found the lock of the main door broken and the house ransacked.

He said Rs26,000, four mobile phones and gold and silver jewellery items were stolen from his house.

The police were informed and a case was registered at the Sector 31 police station.

During the investigation, a team, led by Inspector Ranjit Singh, SHO of the Sector 31 police station, nabbed the suspects, identified as Nitish, alias Nonu (22), and Rohit, alias Gulli (21), both residents of Phase I, Ram Darbar, and Vishal, alias Billa (23), a resident of Sector 56.

They were produced in a court and sent to one-day police remand. —
