Toddler among two new COVID-19 cases in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, June 28

A toddler was among Chandigarh’s two new coronavirus cases on Sunday, officials said.

A two-and-a-half year old boy from Sector 30-B tested positive on Sunday. He is believed to have got the infection from a 76-year-old woman who tested positive on June 26.

The second patient is a 31-year-old male returned from Kazakhstan on June 21 and has been quarantined since at the Hotel Lemon Tree.

The developments take Chandigarh’s count to 431.  The UT now has 89 active COVID-19 cases and six deaths.
