Top seed Akshat Dhull overpowered a tough challenge by qualifier Yashasvi Balhara to move into the boys’ U-18 final during the penultimate day of the CLTA-AITA Championship Series (CS-7).

After a neck-to-neck tie, Balhara won the opening set (6-7(3). However, Dhull bounced back by logging a (6-4, 6-3) win for the final. In the second semi-finals, second seed Aniruddh Sangra ousted Pratham Hitesh Kotak (6-4, 6-3).

In the boys’ U-14 semis, top seed Sumukh Marya defeated Raghav Pawan Sarode (7-6(2), 6-1), whereas Pragun Thakur outplayed Sachit Thakur (6-4, 6-3).

In the girls’ U-18 category, Yashika Sharma overpowered fourth seed Priyasakhi Sajnani (6-2, 6-0) and Vanya Arora ousted Bhumi Kakkar (6-3, 4-6, 6-2). In the girls’ U-14 semis, third seed Mannat Awasthi ousted Parigya Yadav (6-2, 6-1). Second Shrawasti Kundilya also moved ahead in the final as Shakti Singh conceded her match.

Arnav-Varchasva win title

Arnav Bishoni and Varchasva Thapliyal won the boys’ U-18 doubles title by defeating Aniruddh Sangra and Ashwajit Senjam (1-6, 6-3, 12-10). In the boys’ U-14 final, Haralam Singh and Armaan Walia defeated Gaurish Madaan and Tejas Khosla (7-6(4), 6-3). In the girls’ U-18 category, Priyasakshi Sanjani and Radha Sadhra outplayed Kritika Katoch and Shauryaa Pathak (6-3, 5-7, 10-7).
