Top seed Anay Pandey of Uttar Pradesh cleared the qualifying first round by defeating Haryana’s Vardaan Dixit 9-1 on the opening day of the CLTA-AITA National Series Tennis Tournament.

Punjab’s Sankalp Sachdeva blanked local contender Samarpreet Singh 9-0, while second seed Yug Raj Mahi struggled hard before recording 9-8(4) win over Samrat Das Roy. Prabhsaran Lakra also moved into the next round by defeating Haryana’s Sameep Sachdeva 9-1, and Harshit Tanwar dominated over Punjab’s Khushman Meen by recording a 9-0 victory. Bhavesh Shah also logged an identical 9-0 win over Rivaansh Khullar, while Naman Tak defeated Raghav Khurana and Naman Khatri ousted Shabeg Basra by identical scores of 9-2.

Local challenger Divyansh Dhupar moved into the next round by defeating Punjab’s Vikrant Khandelwal 9-4, and Monodip Dey defeated Samarth Khullar 9-5. Veer Mahajan outplayed Aadrian Singh Suri without conceding a game like Ayush Kushwaha, who defeated Arnav Singh 9-0. Parth Berwal won the last match by defeating Jasrajdeep Singh 9-5.
