Top seed Armaan Walia continued his hot streak as he packed off Kirtarth Singh in straight sets to march into the boys’ U-12 final in the Roots-AITA Talent Series (TS7) National Ranking Championship at Zirakpur today. Walia won 6-0 6-1.

In the final, Walia will face Aarush Sharma, who registered a 6-4 6-3 win over Gaurish Madaan in the semis.

Walia also eased into the boys’ U-14 semifinal after he humbled Satvik Singla 6-2 6-2. Second seed Hardik Khanduja downed Samarpit Bhatia 7-5 6-4 in the quarterfinals, while Daksh Khokhar edged out Gunnzit Singh 6-2 6-2. Mehtaab Singh had an easy outing against Aditya Rathore. He won 6-2 6-0

Anandita in semis

In the girls’ U-14 competition, top seed Anandita Sharma thrashed Kanishka Vashist 6-2 6-0 to book a berth in the semifinal.

Second seed Sidhak Kaur ousted Akshdha Sharma 6-4 6-1 and Gurmannat Kaur outplayed Hitanshi Sardana 6-2 6-2. Isheeta Midha prevailed 6-4 7-6(5) over Mehakpreet Kaur.
