Top seed Punjab’s Taanish Nanda won the boys’ U-14 final by defeating second seed Mahijith Singh in straight sets 6-2, 6-2 on the concluding day of the Roots AITA CS(7) National Ranking Championship.

Eighth seed Punjab’s Taanish Nanda stunned sixth seed Haryana’s Harsh Marwaha by logging a comeback win to bag the boys’ U-16 title. Nanda went down 3-6 in the opening set, but bounced back strongly to log a 6-2, 6-1 win. In the girls’ U-14 final, Punjab’s Tanya Bhatnagar defeated Japman Sarin 6-3, 7-5 and Chandigarh’s Ditti Prajapat won the girls’ U-16 final by blanking Punjab’s Avni Uttam 6-0, 6-2.

The pair of Adeshbir Singh and Mahijith Singh won the boys’ U-16 doubles final by defeating Yugraj Singh and Harsh Marwaha 6-2, 6-1.
