Traffic curbs for I-Day function

The Traffic Police has issued an advisory for August 15, outlining traffic restrictions around Parade Ground, Sector 17, from 6:30 am till the Independence Day function concludes. Key routes, including stretches of Udyog Path, Old District Courts to Shivalik Hotel, and Lyon’s light point to Parade Ground, will remain closed or traffic will been diverted from these routes. No general parking will be allowed in front of the Sector 22-A market. The designated parking will be available at Sector 22-B, Circus Ground, Neelam Cinema and the Sector 17 multi-level facility.

Buses plying to the ISBT, Sector 17, will be diverted via Himalaya Marg, with further diversions between 10:30 and 11:30 am. Attendees must be seated by 8:30 am, enter through designated gates and carry original photo IDs. Prohibited items include bags, weapons, liquor, inflammables, black flags and banners.
