Work drags on, officials lax

The construction work began just as the monsoon season started last year. It has been going on since then. The work is dragging on, and the officials seem to be in no hurry. —Ashish Bhalla, Baltana resident

“The construction work began just as the monsoon season started last year. It has been going on since then. The work is dragging on, and the officials seem to be in no hurry. Officials of the MC, the NHAI and the district administration are just not bothered, said Ashish Bhalla, a Baltana resident, adding that it took commuters half an hour daily to cover the stretch.

Baltana hoteliers said they were incurring losses as no one wanted to get stuck in the road that witnesses huge traffic jams.
