Members of The Tribune Employees’ Union paid tributes to Chicago martyrs to mark May Day on the office premises today.

Union president Anil Gupta and general secretary Ruchika M Khanna presented a brief history of the struggle and sacrifices of the Chicago martyrs, who laid down their lives for better working conditions for industrial employees.

Addressing the employees, Gupta gave details about the union’s role in streamlining the process of application for the higher pension scheme at the EPFO, Chandigarh.

A two-minute silence was observed on the occasion.
