Tribune Model School girls netball champs
Chandigarh, October 20
Tribune Model School, Sector 29, registered a 7-5 win over Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, to win the girls’ sub-junior title in the 7th Netball State Championship. Earlier in the league matches, Sacred Heart girls defeated Dev Samaj School (6-4) and Tribune Model School overpowered Aurobindo School (6-3). Aurobindo School claimed the third place by defeating Dev Samaj girls (6-4).
DAV Sports Club won the boys’ sub-junior title by defeating Aurobindo School (7-6). Dev Samaj School claimed the third position by registering (4-0) win over Snehalya Club.
In the boys’ junior league matches, DAV Sports Club defeated Dev Samaj School (11-10) and Aurobindo School ousted GNPS (4-3).
In the girls’ junior event, Tribune Model School defeated Sacred Heart School (9-6) and British Academy ousted Dev Samaj School (7-5). — TNS
