Chiktara University paddlers won gold, while Chandigarh University and Panjab University also clinched multiple medals on the Day 10 of the Khelo India University Games, being held in Rajasthan.

In the women’s final, Chitkara University got the better of Adamas University 3-0 to win the gold medal. The men’s final, meanwhile, saw Chandigarh University win the gold medal by overpowering Chitkara University 3-2.

The men’s 4x400 relay kept everyone on the edge, with Panjab University’s Lokesh Singh Gurjar helping the side stage a comeback to clinch gold with a meet record of 3:12.40s. PU’s Arshdeep Kaur and Dupinder Singh bagged the silver and gold in the jump and hammer throw events, respectively. The varsity’s men’s 10m Air Pistol Mixed also won the gold medal.

Chandigarh University rowers dominated by taking nine of 10 gold medals at stake — Salam Chaoba Devi in the the women’s C-1 event, Pooja and Ningombam Manjeet Meetei in the K-1 events, besides the team medals.
