The police had arrested Abhishek, alias Abhiya, and Tushar of Maloya Colony in the case registered under Sections 307, 323, 324, 34, 341 and 506 of the IPC. The complainant, Harsh, had stated that three bike-borne persons stopped him at the entrance of a park in Sector 39 while he was going home from his school on March 20 last year. He alleged that one of them attacked him with a knife, leaving him injured. They fled the scene later. During the investigation, the police arrested the accused.

Siddhant Pandit and Vikas Rana, the counsel appearing for Abhishek, argued that the accused was implicated and the complainant had not supported the case. After hearing the arguments, the court acquitted the accused.
