Two arrested for cheating

The police have arrested UP natives Kamlesh Kumar and Pakhi Malik in cheating cases. Dilip Kumar Biswas of Adarsh Nagar, Nayagoan, had reported that he was duped of Rs 5 lakh on the pretext of providing US Dollars at cheap rates. The accused had duped people of about Rs 18 lakh in UT.

2 held with 6 stolen bikes

Mohali: The police arrested two youths and recovered six stolen bikes from them. The suspects were identified as Gagandeep Singh of Ballomajra and Anmol Singh of Green Enclave, Mohali. They were held in a theft case registered at the Phase 7 police station.

RBU inks pact with UpGrad

Mohali: Alpha School of Rayat Bahra University has signed an MoU with UpGrad, a global leader in online higher education. School director Sakshi Mehta said the pact aimed to integrate “world-class digital learning solutions with academic excellence”.
