Two boys held for raping minor in Kharar
Mohali, November 18
The local police have arrested two minor boys for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl at Belolpur village in the Balongi area of Kharar.
Both suspects, aged 16 and 13, were produced in a local court, which sent them to an observation centre in Hoshiarpur.
Balwinder Sharma, investigating officer, said the victim was known to the boys as they were neighbours. The victim’s elder sister, in her complaint, alleged that the boys raped her sister. The victim was staying with her elder sister, while her parents, natives of UP, worked as labourers, he added.
A case has been registered against both suspects. — TNS
