Two city girls selected for Challengers Trophy
Two players from Chandigarh have been selected for the Senior Women’s One Day Challengers Trophy, which will commence on January 5 in Chennai. Nandini Sharma will represent Team B, while Shivangi Yadav is assigned with Team D.
Players, who have performed well in the recent domestic matches, have been selected for the five teams. The final of the tournament will be held on January 15.
Nandini Sharma has represented Team E in the T20 Challengers Trophy. Bowler Nandini took 11 wickets in five matches while wicketkeeper-batter Shivangi dismissed 13 players behind the stumps in the current domestic season and scored 146 runs in five matches.
